The crust in very light and airy, full of flavor and crispy. Lorenzo’s special pizza sauce blend with a quality Mozzarella from New Jersey makes the best pizza around! There are nineteen different pizzas to choose from and all made with fresh ingredients. The new thin crust pizzas are the talk of the town! One of the local favorite pizzas is the Mesilla Valley Special with pepperoni, green chile, mushrooms, olives, green onions and jalapenos. For something different but really tasty, try the Lorenzo’s Special with sauteed eggplant and roasted garlic. Old World Ambiance Dining at The Original Lorenzo’s de Mesilla makes you feel like you are in Italy. The huge wood beams and wood ceiling, the brick work, the decorations and the wonderful murals painted by the well known local artist Alex Rosa all go into making the restaurant have that Old World feel. The outside of the building even looks like it has been around for many decades! The lighting is soft and you will hear Italian music playing in the background. Outdoor Patio Dining Another attractive feature of The Original Lorenzo’s de Mesilla is there Outdoor Patio Dining. The Patio is utilized year round with a special heating system while the beautiful courtyard is only used during certain months of the year. However, dining on the courtyard on a cool summer evening under the stars is absolutely magical! It transports you and you truly feel like you are somewhere in Europe. It is considered one of the most Romantic Courtyards in the Southern New Mexico and there have been many Weddings in the Courtyard of The Original Lorenzo’s de Mesilla.Home of Local Live Entertainment Lorenzo’s de Mesilla was the first restaurant to bring Jazz to Mesilla and has been doing so for the past fifteen years. Roman Chip and Miguel Torres having been playing Jazz on Friday nights for the past ten years and for the past couple years it’s been James Clarkston on Saturday nights playing guitar. In addition, every year Lorenzo’s de Mesilla hosts a Summer Concert Series with a variety of bands playing once a month of Saturday evenings on the beautiful courtyard! Dinner and Jazz under the stars… it’s the place to be! |
